We invite all Ballroom, Latin, New Vogue, Old Time, and Ceroc Modern Jive enthusiasts and their supporters to come and experience the grandeur of our historical Town Hall with its Edwardian interior and our southern hospitality. This is a Non Up-Grading competition.
Rule 32 (L) - A win at any Masters Games competition event shall have no effect on the dancers official NZD & DC grading.
ADMISSION: Dancesport and Masters Games competitors and personnel free with presentation of Masters Games ID Cards. Spectators $5.00 per person.
REGISTERED COMPETITORS: Dance registration card and Masters Games ID Cards are necessary for uplifting numbers.
UNREGISTERED COMPETITORS: Masters Games ID Cards are necessary for uplifting numbers.
CATERING: The Town Hall is fully licensed therefore BYO is NOT PERMITTED. The bar will be open for refreshments, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Food will be available for purchase.
The whole Town Hall Complex including the foyer and entrance is SMOKE FREE. Passes to leave the building will be available.
Syllabus of Events:-
Age Group applies to the younger member of the couple.
REMINDER
Amateur events: the age group you compete in is governed by the age of the YOUNGEST member of the couple. You may also dance the age group below this eg. 45-54 can dance in 30-44 age group.
The 30 - 44 yrs only events are restricted to this age group only.
Professional and Pro/Am events: competitors may dance in their own age group only.
DRESS CODE:- Registered and Pro/Am - NZ Ballroom Council rules.
Unregistered - Males: Dress Trousers – Shirt and Tie (not bow tie.) Tie may be removed for Latin.
Females: After 5 Wear.
Please remain in dance attire for prize giving.
CATEGORIES
Registered: Both competitors must be registered.
Unregistered: Both competitors must not have been registered for the last 5 years.
It is permissible to have a different partner for a dance style (eg Ballroom – New Vogue – Old Time partner No1, Latin - partner No 2), or any other combination.
Please make this clear when filling out the entry form.
The combination chosen MUST BE KEPT FOR THE DURATION OF THIS COMPETITION.
