Venue:      McMillan Centre, Harbour Terrace

Time:        10:00 am to 7:00 pm (subject to entries)

Age:         35+

Fees:        $40.00 per person

Additional Information:

Team must have a minimum of 11 players and may have up to a maximum of 16 players.

Teams will be placed in the age group of the youngest player.

Each Team must supply an Umpire or a charge of $50 will be levied.

Hockey is being played at the McMillan Centre, 65 Harbour Terrace from Friday 5 February until Sunday 7 February inclusive.

The McMillan Centre is home to two artificial surfaces; a sand based surface and a water-based surface. 
Changing rooms with shower facilities are available; Women are to use the two south rooms and Men the two north change rooms.
Upstairs is a viewing lounge with Bar and light snack facilities available.
Water tap for filling bottles: Turn right outside door to turf. (Southern end)
Warm-up area: At the southern end of the building.

1.  Games will be 25 minutes each way with a five-minute half time. All players are advised to wear mouth guards and shin pads. A sports medic will be on site, but it is recommended that all team Managers carry a basic first aid kit including ice.

2. Sports massage will be available on site (see booking sheet upstairs in the bar).

3. Players may play for one team only, unless illness/injury results in a team needing extra players. In this situation a substitute player at equal or lesser ability than the player being replaced may be allowed at the discretion of the tournament controller.

4. All team identification tags must be presented to the tournament controller 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the game. Games will run strictly to time.

5. In the event of a judicial committee being required the tournament controller will organize one, if a team wishes to lodge a protest the team captain must indicate this on the score card by writing ‘Under Protest’. Any protests for the judicial committee must be lodged with the tournament controller in writing and signed by the team captain within one hour of the completion of the game. The judicial committee will convene a meeting as soon as practicable and the decision shall be given in writing to the teams within one hour from the start of the meeting. There will be no appeals.

6. One player from each team must be nominated team Captain-please indicate on the card.

7. The competition will be run as a round robin. Teams will play against each other and the following points will be awarded for each match.
Win or Forfeit - 3 points
Draw – 1 point
Loss – 0 points

Final placing will be determined as follows:
The total number of points accumulated in the competition.
If the teams are tied on points, the teams will be ranked according to number of matches won.
If teams are still tied then they will be ran according to goal difference (goals for minus goals against).
If teams are still tied they will be ranked according to goals for.
If two teams are tied the result of the game played between those teams will be used to determine ranking. If more than two teams are tied a ranking based on the results of matches between those teams will be used.
If two teams are still tied the winner will be determined by the toss of a coin.

All teams are to supply a good quality match ball.

Please check the draw daily for umpiring duties.

Matches will be conducted under current IHF Hockey rules.

A medal presentation ceremony will be held in the Doug Lockhart Lounge, McMillan Centre 30 minutes after the completion of the last game.
